Insect Collection
Goal & Purpose
The goal of this project was to design a campaign for a company, and I chose to focus on Lego—specifically, their newly released insect collection aimed at an older audience. The purpose of the campaign was to generate excitement around the new release and inspire people to purchase it for themselves.
Process
When I started this project, I explored several ideas. At first, I considered separating real life from the Lego set, but that felt too predictable. Then, I thought about turning it into a mosaic using individual Lego pieces, but that didn’t quite capture the essence of the set. Eventually, I settled on the entomologist concept. From there, my focus shifted to researching how entomologists present their findings, aiming to recreate that scientific poster style. The idea was to make it feel like you’re discovering a new species as you build, with each removable piece adding to the experience.
Result
The final outcome surpassed my expectations and was truly enjoyable to create. It seamlessly complemented the Lego insect collection, showcasing the intricate beauty of the sets in their completed form.
